Celtic Love spoon silver mussel shell
A solid silver love spoon made by silversmith Pa-pa on the edge of the Gower Peninsular, South Wales. Pa-pa has formed a baby mussel shell by hand to make this unusual love spoon pendant . A modern twist on the traditional love spoons from Wales.
The celtic knot is a symbol of love, commitment and the combining of two souls in an endless knot. The silver knot is soldered to the top of the 'heart of the sea' where two real mussel shells have been cut and set in thick silver by Pa-pa to create this unique registered lovepoon design for the 2018 Collection.
This would make a lovely Anniversary or wedding gift, valentines gift or christening present or just a token of love for someone special.
Traditionally the love spoon was given to a girl as a symbol of love and commitment to show that her suitor was skilled enough to look after her.
