This collection of handcrafted jewellery designs are inspired by Oxwich Bay, Gower.The woods at Oxwich Bay shroud the quaint 16th Century Chapel of St. Iltyds. Beneath the rocky point, which slopes downward from the trees, lies the wreck of the Solar, now old and encrusted with mussels. Many shallow pools are rich with life. Black rocks are domed with limpets, salted barnacles and blue mussels.
Measuring 3cm long x 1.5cm wide this silver or solid gold mussel shell cushions a real 7-8mm white pearl. Fine lines are carved into the silver by hand to represent the growth of the shell. This is not a real shell dipped but rather a thick solid silver shell formed by Pa-pa.
